Upfront Outfitters offers guided hunts for many species of Western big game in Washington State. We grew up in these units and have spent most of our lives camping, fishing, hunting and scouting them. We have draw units for Rocky Mountain elk, Roosevelt elk, Bighorn sheep, Shiras Moose, Blacktail deer, Mule deer and Whitetail deer. Unlike many guides in the industry, we hunt for you just like we would if we had drawn the tag ourselves. The state of Washington requires hunters to purchase an annual license and a permit application in order to apply for the draw hunts for elk or deer. However, if you start applying for hunts in Washington state chances are that you will not wait as long as you do in other draw states for a premium tag. Many archery hunters are drawing premium elk tags in 3 - 6 years. The quality of bulls will also be equal to, or greater than what you could expect to hunt in some of the other premium draw states. To apply for Bighorn sheep, Moose or Mountain goats you must purchase a permit application to apply. The amount for the license is then due upon your success in drawing the tag.

Hunters also have the option of applying for ghost points. Since you must choose your species of elk in Washington, many of our hunters who wish to harvest a Roosevelt elk will purchase a hunting license and then purchase ghost points for the elk draw. This allows you to hunt for Roosevelt while still building points toward the Rocky Mountain elk units. While waiting to draw one of the premium tags for Rocky Mountain elk or Mule deer there are some exceptional general season hunts for Roosevelt elk, Mule deer, Blacktail deer, Black bears and Whitetails. WHAT TO EXPECT: On the East side you can expect to be hunting animals that will score an average of 300"-350" in most units and even bigger in some areas. Our personal goals are to produce bulls that are 320" and bigger in all units.

On the West side you can expect roosevelt elk to score in the 250" range and bigger. We have had several opportunities on roosevelt elk in excess of 300" in the past.

All of these hunts include food, lodging, transportation while in camp, trophy care, professional guide service, assistance with game removal from field and referal to taxidermist and meat processor if requested.

They also include weeks of scouting for your hunt to ensure that you are hunting trophy animals from the day your hunt begins until the day you successfuly harvest your animal.
